📣 DON’T UNDERESTIMATE MENINGOCOCCAL DISEASE Meningococcal disease is an acute infectious disease caused by the bacterium Neisseria meningitidis. It can spread through respiratory droplets during close contact and may progress rapidly.
⚠️ Warning signs: sudden high fever, severe headache, stiff neck, nausea or vomiting, unusual tiredness, drowsiness, or a hemorrhagic rash.
✅ How to help prevent infection: Wash hands regularly and cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.
✅ Do not share personal items.
✅ Keep classrooms and homes clean and well ventilated.
✅ Avoid close contact with people who have suspicious symptoms.
✅ Get meningococcal vaccination as advised by healthcare professionals.
